Hacking Everything
A Poem
Do it this way Wake up at 4:22 Listen to books at 2x Clean your desk every night It will save you three seconds out of your day #lifehack
Scale your company Hire more people Add more payroll Get to the product later on in the cycle #growthhack
Pay more (and borrow more) Buy a two-family home and live in one unit Become a landlord #househack
Why are we trying to hack everything? Why do we need to find a faster way to do life? A faster way to earn money A faster way to advance our relationships The universe doesn’t look kindly on hacking There is no CliffsNotes version for us about us in the creation manual or a two-hour webinar so you can understand life in the same amount of time it would take you to watch an Adam Sandler movie
Maybe it’s just terminological development and the word “hack” doesn’t really mean what it seems But I think it does We just can’t wait We aren’t patient We want to enjoy life more, but with twice as much stuff in half the time
Create multiple profiles on multiple sites with different ways of talking about ourselves The nice version The sexy version The intellectual version Run A/B tests just to see who likes which persona #lovehack
Spend $500 every month on Facebook ads to generate leads but also be not very interested in following up on those leads because they all thought they were getting something from you just to find out that you were getting something from them Their information And they’re not interested #saleshack
I think we need to stop hacking everything right now We need to take a break and a long, deep breath And slow down Because that’s something that you can’t hack
