Growing Your Inner Self
Day 38: Improving upon the richness of your life

It was a dark and cloudy morning. However, as I walked around noticing nature this morning, I saw little bits of light peeking through the clouds. This is life showing me that some days I may muddle through the mist of life, but there is always light, shining through. That light can grow and grow until it permeates my whole heart, helping me to grow my spirit and create more. These are the lessons I am learning on my journey through The Force and other books by Stuart Wilde that I am exploring for 100 days.
Lately, I have been battling lots of thoughts about past events. I believe that sometimes these come up to the surface when you are growing your inner self. They are there to assist me in reviewing who I am becoming and what thoughts and feelings I am choosing to leave behind. I feel deep in my heart that I am leaving behind some attachments that are tied to deep emotions. This is a process of letting go. It is like shedding an outer layer in order to fly out into the open as a new spirit.
Each thought and feeling you have about yourself is expressed on an inner level as energy; and that energy, interacting with the universal law creates the events and circumstances of your life. You can watch this energy by watching what is around you. Do you have nothing but beauty and richness of life? Or are there areas that you would like to improve? By looking at your inner self you grow, and by doing so you expand the level of the force you express. -Stuart Wilde

Each and every day as I walk in silence in nature, I am opening up the layers of my inner self. It is time to discover if my thoughts and feelings are my own, or if they are borrowed from others in my past. For the first time in my life, I feel that I am able to discern what is my inner knowing, and what is just a thought form, placed there by past experience. I acknowledge that what I learned in the past was put there with loving intention, even if I choose not to adhere to it now. Whatever choices I make from my heart, those are the ones to follow.
The more you train your mind and feelings to emphasize the positive, the more you become like the force, a divine observer, not connected emotionally with the frailties of human life. However, more is involved than just taking a positive attitude of life. You have to begin to look at whatever limitations lie in the inner you, for the force is unlimited, and the less restricted you become, the more the force will express. Every time you turn and face yourself, and look at your reactions and feelings, you basically clear away another small particle of debris that has accumulated. -Stuart Wilde
Lately, I have been doing a lot of inner house cleaning. It is time to go through a decluttering of the mind. For the first few years of our lives, thought-forms and ideas were placed deep in our subconscious minds. Those ideas were many times well-meaning ideas, based on the best information that those around us had at the time. They were acting upon their best abilities to care for and nurture you at that time. I feel that in the past few days, I have started to sweep out some of the inner dust that has accumulated over years of sorting through what is my true heart, and what was an idea placed there by others.

Just like the beautifully faceted crystal pictured above, over time in your life, by chipping away at the layers of thoughts and memories, you can create a beautiful spirit. It is okay to say goodbye to thoughts and feelings that are no longer serving you in your life. Each one that you let go of creates a new facet in your inner heart. Over time, when you do this process, you will be creating day by day, a brilliant life.
My prayer and intention for you today is to look at some of those past thoughts and feelings. Are they your own? How do they feel to you? Is it time to declutter your heart? You are here to create beauty all around you. When you go inward and work upon yourself, you are starting to create that beauty. We are here to support you on your path to a brilliant life!
How are you creating beauty today?
