Spontaneous Imperfect Coloring Made Me Happy
Growing up as a Baby boomer and losing my father very early in my life made me conscious of how I spent money in general and my earned money in specific. I assumed that the coloring book was supposed to be bought and used for a Craft class. Otherwise, it is a waste of money.
I never bought one for myself.
It all changed when my daughter-in-law gifted me a coloring book and changed my thinking.
How so, you may ask?
When I am stuck with any problem or when I am looking for ideas or when I need that specific next action step, Or I am in scarcity mode, this is what I do:
Just choose one page for coloring. This is a physical action but helps me shift my thinking
From
I am stuck with a problem, or I am looking for ideas, or I am in scarcity mode,
To
I have several possibilities and options, like the several pages in the coloring book. I am no longer in the scarcity mode, but I am now in an abundant mode. Just like, choosing one page, I can choose one option.
When I pick one specific color, I am subconsciously giving myself suggestions that the next specific action step will be revealed.
When I allow my child-like inner self to color the page the way I want with the colors I want and for how much ever portion I want, I become happy, fulfilled, and reassured that :
“I am connecting with my true, inner Core-Self and all things will happen most exclusively that I plan”.
