Gratitude for fun Buddies
An Everything Fun writing prompt from Hollie Petit, Ph.D.

I am so Grateful for these two Buddies of mine.
They are the best buddies I could ever ask for, and they never seem to say “No” to my harebrained schemes. I also refer to my schemes as “Shenanigans” — the ones that we have been known to pull off as a Team.
Yes, we have become quite the team. We were in “Quilts of Love” together:

We made quilts for those that are sick or housebound and also for orphanages around the world:
Going to lunch after quilt group every other week would allow us to do a ton of laughing about anything and everything without fear of being told to be quieter perhaps...
Who wants no laughter?
Instead, we enjoyed laughing our rears off and also had us some silly Girl times together. Much laughter happened twice a month on our quilt group days.
Three strands make a strong rope.
I always look for friends that can enjoy a bit of goofiness so when I find people of the same mind and heart as myself, I make it my aim to become friends with them.
I met Ione many years ago through a group that was called the “Breakfast Babes”. Once a month these gals would enjoy a breakfast out at a local restaurant. The day that I met IONE was when the “Breakfast Babes” headed out on a local train taking the “Babes” down south to San Clemente, California. Ione and I immediately hit it off. 👇🏼

She and I went to a Political Humor Show a few years ago put on by the sisters named: “Diamond and Silk”. It was in Palm Desert, California. We stayed overnight at a nearby hotel where the show was scheduled. We also got to meet the bodyguard of Diamond and Silk and once again laughed our rears off. He was amazing and huge and could guard many at once if you ask me.
Ione and I have done some fun and crazy things and she’s a great and loving person. She always seems so cheery to me.
I met Gail decades ago at the local cleaners that I used to bring the hubs shirts in for cleaning.
They seemed to really care as they did shirts JUST like hubs liked them done.
In other words, professionally, and not by me. 😂

Gail has a listening ear and I like to talk so we make the perfect combo. 😂
Gail and I have known each other from before when my son was born (and he is now 30 years old.)
Gail is on the quiet side and is a deep thinker. She and I have lived through some “stuff” together and she “knows where the bodies are buried” 🙄😂 an old humorous saying…not true bodies. For the Cops reading this.
She has always been there to help me through some of those tough times and can keep mum about them.
(Mum is AKA Quiet) lol
I only hope that I have also been as helpful for her as in the past and present…and future.
Today the three of us went to The Nixon library together and we had so much fun.

They are both two peas in a pod in terms of being “trustworthy” and their names are in the dictionary defining that very word.
That is so rare these days. And I am very grateful for my fun Buddies.
Thank you, Hollie Petit, Ph.D. For this awesome topic today. Here is the fun writing prompt challenge that I saw today:
I am tagging Ionekayser as she is one of two gals that I am including in this article. The other gal isn’t on medium. Her name is Gail.
I enjoyed putting this together.
