Sweet angel orchids with gratitude Unperturbed, they smile unceasingly Delightful, intricate, and charming Peaceful, they share space with calm

On long spindly stems, they cheer And embrace us with their grace They beat the beat of the pendulum Like magic, all reappear season after season

Sweet angel orchids with delicate faces With sunshine or moonlight, they glow Seeking us to absorb their divinity And they await patiently in their abode

All my six orchids are in full bloom, and here are a few of them (due to the two image restriction for this prompt). These orchids are tended with or without shoes, and they do not fail to bloom. I have had this orchid (shown in the header image) for seven years, and it has put out blooms every year. Consistency is their motto, and I am learning from them.

Thank you, dear Indubala Kachhawa, for the below prompt.

I enjoyed Carolyn Hastings’ micro poem — Digging Into Mindfulness. I agree it is the shortest poem she has written, still imparts a valuable lesson.

Thalia Dunn’s couplet — Flip-flop, Sandals, Shoes? — is fun and informative.

Thanks for reading.
