Slip your shoes on and work the ground, Get your groove on and dance around.

I put on my Birks when I hoe the land; These shoes are the best when I take a stand.

Gotta do our bit before it’s too late! The world is our home and we cannot wait.

So don your flip-flops, sandals and shoes Let’s save the earth together, we can’t lose.

For reference in this silly couplet poem, ‘Birks’ are short for Birkenstock sandals. Made in Germany, they are great for the environment as they can last for years. Seriously, just resole them every few years and keep going.
