Grateful For Tools That Make Writing Easier

And it’s not what you might think

When it comes to writing, I am intimidated by a blank sheet of paper or even worse, the DREADED BLINKING CURSOR!

Some writers have a knack for expression. Words seem to flow effortlessly. Not me. I need all of the help I can get.

Because of the impact it has had on my family, journaling is one subject I have personally been interested in writing about. I’ve seen firsthand the power journaling has. Gratitude is one of the popular journaling topics.

I wanted to create a series of journaling prompts for gratitude but I didn’t want the prompt to be… write down something you’re grateful for.

I wanted to go deeper with prompts that explore the multi-facets of gratitude. The question I asked myself. How do I begin writing about this?

Templates to the rescue! Why? Because templates provide a framework from which to build out a series of gratitude prompts.

Prompts that go beyond asking the journaler to write down something they are grateful for. These prompts are specific and are accompanied by stories to engage the writer.

As this series on gratitude was written, I never mentioned the framework I was using… until now. This story is the last in my 9-part series.
