Good People Doing Good?

How some special ladies put a smile on my son’s face.

I LOVE stories like the one I’m about to share with you. It warms my heart to know there are people in the world doing loving things like this for others every day. I’m so thankful some of these people are in my life.

The box was left at the back door by our postal carrier. When I saw the return address, I had an idea of what might be inside. You see, a couple of years earlier, a similar box arrived for me from the same person.

I didn’t want to tip Andrew off to what I thought might be inside. I wasn’t 100% sure. In the video below, you can watch him open his present.

Backstory

Andrew had not been feeling well for quite a while. His symptoms indicated it might be appendicitis. Thankfully, all the tests came back negative.

I had shared his condition with our friends and asked them to keep Andrew in their prayers. Well, some special ladies did that and more.

Andrew has always loved quilts. I remember when he was a baby, Andrew cried a lot. I was telling a friend at work about this and she said, “that baby just wants to be swaddled.”

Amazingly, I swaddled him just like she said, and immediately he had a smile on his face. Ever since that time, Andrew has swaddled or wrapped himself in some kind of quilt.

Andrew’s smile says it all. Thank you, ladies!

You can read more about these amazing ladies and the time they surprised me with my own quilt in the story below.

Daily Doable: I’m going to keep this easy. Do something good for someone today. It could be something you make or something you say… whatever. Make up your mind to do good. You’ll feel good when you do.
