Go Deep: A Poem About Unwinding Past Trauma

Your subconscious holds the key to inner healing

Your body is more magnificent than you realize. It has the ability to heal from past trauma and release what is holding you back from being your most vibrant, healthy self.

Tapping into your subconscious is a powerful practice. It can bring up trapped emotions that leave you repeating the same patterns over and over.

Myofascial unwinding is even more healing. Letting go while you are in a meditative state allows your body to lead you through motions connected with your trauma.

John Barnes describes this process in his book, Healing Ancient Wounds:

“Healing is transforming the adversity into whatever experience one needs to learn to free and reclaim one’s essence. As the essence emerges from these blockages, healing occurs.”

Here is a poem that I wrote about going inward to find deep healing.

Clinging onto all your pain not knowing why it’s there forgotten instances that you are not aware

What’s beyond the surface what’s holding you back do you really know that what you think you attract

Go deep deep deep into the depths of your mind that is where you start to unwind You never know what’s behind the reasons you are misaligned

Oh go deep deep deep heal deep within your mind

Beauty comes from letting go seeing why things happened your highest path appears when control is slackened

Just wait when you move forward you will be much lighter when you embrace yourself chances are much wider

Go deep deep deep into the depths of your mind that is where you start to unwind You never know what’s behind the reasons you are misaligned

Oh go deep deep deep heal deep within your mind

Be willing to release what no longer serves you and let go of the past.

To find true healing you must first acknowledge that it happened. Suppressing your emotions causes tension and disease in your body. Embrace your emotions and seek to understand them.

Only then can you fully release them.

Healing is a process, so always be patient with yourself. Never be afraid to seek help when needed and find friends that understand you. You should never have to go through life alone.
