I’m Sharon, and surprise, surprise, I’m a writer. I’ve been doing it for a long time, starting in the days of newspapers using paste-up to get the latest edition out, moving to magazines using a desktop publishing process, and then to blogging for business and digital publishing.

In my first forays into blogging, I talked about what I knew, which was writing, and what I was learning, which was SEO and online marketing. I launched a blog called Get Paid to Write Online, which is now archived here on Medium, and includes articles like these:

Most of what I write about in my day job as a freelancer is related to digital marketing. I’m often steeped in the world of email marketing, social media marketing, content marketing and so on. My latest portfolio shows some of the breadth of that work. One of my proudest achievements work wise was an 8000+ word SEO guide for OptinMonster.

Aside from that, I share my thoughts on Being Sharon. Some of my writing there includes:

Lately, I’ve been writing about racism. Some of my recent work includes:

I write other stuff too, including poetry, and this short story, which is the first one I’ve actually completed:

I’ve been enjoying reading some of the excellent content in this publication, connecting with more people, and getting to understand more about Medium.

To finish off, here are three fun facts that have nothing to do with anything:

  1. I love word games, especially those related to Scrabble
  2. I’m a Reiki master/teacher in the Usui Shiki Ryoho tradition
  3. I’m an introvert

See you around the interwebs. :)
