Getting Thrown in the Air by a Charging Buffalo Is a Good Way to Get Hurt
Don’t have your name in the news for the wrong reason
It happens on occasion at Yellowstone National Park. This time it was a woman from Ohio who got too close to a bison, the big animal gored her and threw her ten feet in the air. (Here)
When I had cable tv, I loved watching Animal Planet and Nat Geo Wild. I’m an animal lover, my whole family loves animals. One of the shows I watched often was, “ When Animals Attack.”
People do dumb things
I never could understand how people could be so stupid. They’re called wild animals for a reason. They will mess you up. I know how fascinating they are to watch.
When my siblings and I were young; when my dad was stationed in Anchorage Alaska. During the three years, we lived there, my mom and dad always had a camera with them.
They would hold the company hostage for hours watching the slideshow
They had boxes of slides of moose, bears, and deer. Pictures they had taken on the base where we lived, and on many fishing and camping trips we went on.
Moose would walk right on the base, which was interesting to see.
My parents had enough sense not to get too close to the animals. They enjoyed watching them, and they took some great pictures. The tragic thing to me is often animals get put down because of human ignorance.
Appreciate nature, but respect the animals as well
People need to respect nature. The animals live in their natural environment. It’s not a sanitized TV show or movie. It’s nature, and it’s raw and dangerous.
Don’t get gored by bison
The wildlife on this planet is amazing. Observe from a distance. Respect animals so that neither the animals nor you get hurt. Don’t get gored by a wild buffalo and get your name in the news for the wrong reason.
