Gary Vee Sells Nothing to People Who Buy it
Hustle and grind

Get your grind on. Always be grinding.
Eat the grind, breathe the grind, fuck the grind.
Personally, I find Gary Vee’s advice for grinding very helpful. Especially for anyone lucky enough to inherit a million-dollar wine company from their family. Get grinding bro!
The problem with motivational gurus is that when you talk all day every day you begin to have no clue what you’re actually saying. You go around in circles saying things that make no actual sense.
“Ideas are shit, execution is the game.” — Gary Vee
A normal person: “Execute what Gary? I have diabetes. I’m in prison for a crime I didn’t commit. My family doesn’t have any health care.”
“What’s the ROI of your mother.” — Gary Vee
Another normal person: “Gary we don’t have any health care. We lost our business due to COVID, we need help.”
“Grind!” — Gary Vee
Here’s the thing folks, ‘content is not king’ despite what Gary says. Actually, with the exception of a few prolific geniuses, publishing too much content dilutes your message, if you have one, which Gary doesn’t.
What All Motivational Content Boils Down to
I made a list over the last few days of what all motivational content boils down to:
- ‘Stop buying stupid shit you don’t need’
- ‘Stop wasting time on Facebook and Instagram’
- ‘Being your own boss and doing what you want in life is more important than how much money you make’ (who needs money for rent?)
- ‘People in suits are fraud losers. I’m just like you, I wear a beanie.’
- ‘Exercise, eat healthily and focus on a goal. Some will make it, most won’t. Deal with it.’
- ‘Technology is taking over and is going to kill us, but remember that content is king.’
- ‘Grind’
I’m reminded of the quote “empty cans make the most noise.”
I personally couldn’t enjoy the money if I got it through scamming like Gary Vee. It's the lowest of the low. Even selling drugs on the dark web is more prestigious, you actually have a business, although illegal.
We Need More De-Motivational Speakers
The problem with motivational content is that most of it is too vague with no substance at all. My grandma could teach you that content is king.
There’s one more problem that I see among Gary’s followers, not necessarily him. Most of these people have no real accomplishments of their own.
I have friends who post trite inspirational quotes on their stories every day because of Gary. They consider themselves God’s gift to the Earth. In reality, their lives are too boring to come up with original content of their own.
They haven’t actually lived.
