Gardener’s Surprise
Floral poetry challenge for hope day 4

Who knew the humble allium could produce such a marvellous bloom. Garlic, chive, leek, onion, scallion, kitchen staples we all consume Gardner don’t you turn your back, your alliums might start bolting. Too hot, too cold, the weather’s lack means butterfly wings unfolding. Better yet, sow an extra set just for the bees and birds. No such thing as gardener’s regret when sharing what nature confers.
Tapan Avasthi came up with a beautiful poetry challenge for the first week of July. ‘In India, we welcome guests with a flower garland. How about we welcome the second half of the year with floral poetry?’ You can read more about it here
With thanks to @Arjan Tupan for spreading the love, one of his beautiful floral tributes is here
