Fairy Dresses

A poem to welcome the second half of 2020 with hope

They come out at night, to dance their dance and celebrate imagination. At dawn, their dresses hung in sunlight.

The poet Tapan Avasthi inspired this poem. He said that in India, guests are welcomed with flower garlands, and prompts us poets to welcome the second half of 2020, a year that has seen so much tragedy, with a garland of floral poetry of hope.
