Gabriella & I — Our Journey With Nature

We connected with the earth. By simply walking barefooted on dirt.

Gabriella and I enjoyed ourselves at Alfred B. McLay Gardens yesterday If I had my wish, I would stay Our world is such a beautiful place And we got to know it, we weren’t in haste

She had me walking bare feet But I was so happy because more of nature, I got to meet

I met roots rising above the ground Running in many directions without making a sound

Gabriella educates, “They come up to breathe.” I wasn’t aware that was one of their essential need

We connected with the earth By simply walking barefooted on dirt

We connected with grass Walking barefooted, while touching and communicating with the magnificent trees that we pass

We are aware that Earth shares the materials to heal and cure humanity But it can’t do its job until we stop using the tools of insanity That humans use to destroy our environment, life, people, and planet Earth would cease to exist if we don’t stop plummeting it

We know that Earth gives and humans take And is willing to forgive our cruel and thoughtless mistakes. From cutting down trees that provided air, breeze, and cool shade. This terrible action is one-way humanity shows hate

We felt calm and a sense of peace Looking at this lake our bodies and minds are at ease While our surrounding shares a cool breeze Observing the reflection of the sky in the lake, We know that nature doesn’t imitate

Nature’s arts are genuine. As it shows it’s unique in its one-of-a-kind design

Gabriella and I had such a good time Learning from and about each other with nature by our side

We saw nature in all of its artistic splendor Thanks to certain laws, this park is protected and doesn’t have to become a contender It doesn’t have to surrender When the actions of greedy humans make certain plants endanger

Laws to protect certain animals are in place When did Earth become a part of the rat race? No one should be fighting for the right to be, to exist Earth is for all not only the ones on your list Humans, the earth will not miss If we continue to treat Earth like this.

All of these pictures were taken yesterday and I have a lot more. I had a great time connecting with nature and saw trees and plants I had never seen before. I had a wonderful time too. More is ahead.
