Stars and Moonlight
Dancing Elephants Press prompt 48 of 52

I always loved watching the stars in the nighttime. The planet Venus always twinkles like a star in the sky. Almost every night, I watch the sky to see if I can see Venus. It is the hottest planet in the solar system.
Venus contains a high percentage of carbon dioxide due to which it is the hottest planet. Its thick clouds reflect most of the sunlight, which makes it sparkle.
It is seen as bright and bigger compared to other stars in the sky because it is the closest planet to Earth. There are other stars in the sky. I see only a few of them every night and try to count them, but it is impossible, and also confused because all of them look the same. 😊
Once, I saw the Orion constellation in the sky when I was trying to send someone to a bus stop at night in my hometown in India.

It almost looked like a Christ’s Cross with 7 stars in it. It is said that you can wish upon something on seeing those stars.
The moon has different phases, and the most important ones are the new and full moon. Moonlight is the reflected sunlight.
- A New moon happens when, from Earth, the Moon’s surface looks dark because the illuminated side is facing away from Earth.
- A Full moon occurs when it is directly opposite to the sun and appears fully illuminated from Earth.
Nevertheless, the Moon looks beautiful when it is dark, partially illuminated, or fully illuminated. Nature is always awesome, and it is beautiful to our eyes. I believe in the Universe, and I love watching the stars. Thank you for this wonderful prompt.
