Future Honda Vehicles Might Come With a Pre-Installed PlayStation 5
Who needs family bonding time when you can have a PS5 in the backseat?

Recently, Sony Honda Mobility president Izumi Kawanishi talked about installing PlayStation 5’s into future electric Honda vehicles. Kawanishi stated the following.
“Sony has content, services, and entertainment technologies that move people. We are adapting these assets to mobility, and this is our strength against Tesla.”
Apparently, these vehicles with pre-installed PS5s are expected to launch in 2025, according to the Financial Times. Sony Honda Mobility CEO Yasuhide Mizuno stated the following.
Future hardware “will cater to the entertainment and network we would like to offer.”
This will allow Honda to rise to the same level and compete with other popular electric vehicle manufacturers such as Tesla.
I assume Honda is heading in this direction due to what Tesla did with their electric cars. The center display is capable of running the original Sonic the Hedgehog game, with higher-specced vehicles even able to run games such as The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077.
Now I’m sure many of you have the same concern as me regarding gaming in a car. What does it mean for vehicle safety? Well, an investigation was launched by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration since they were concerned with how “Passenger Play” could distract or interfere with a driver.
I would assume these entertainment features would only be available to passengers in the backseat or only when the vehicle is parked.
Although with accelerated advancements in autonomous driving, we may soon come across the day when a driver's constant attention is no longer required while a car drives itself. But until then, there will most likely be very strict restrictions with gaming in your car.
