Spiritual Weekly Prompt | Poetry

Fueled By Imagination

A Poem — Spiritual Weekly Prompt

Photo by Clément M. on Unsplash

The only thing I have That knows no bounds Is my imagination Nurtured since childhood Has it been a loyal companion On my every step

Through my imagination I see the invisible And think the unthinkable I live an ordinary life But once I close my eyes It vanishes in a vast ocean of dreams

The sinner, the saint And everything in between Awakens through my inner eye Imagination fuels my being It frees me of the chains Of my existence

“I think, therefore I am” But I imagine And become so much more
