Fresh Dewdrops In My Garden
Life is a celebration
Dewdrops in my garden, I go tip-top over the leaves, The freshwater droplets, The early morning breath.
The dewdrops on the grass, Cold, with moisture in the air, It was not a cloudy night, Promising a dew filled morning.
The dewdrops soak the roses, The early sunrise is refreshing, I softly smile looking at them. Are they telling me a secret?
Dewdrops are a blessing, Enjoy the morning glory In gratitude for a new day, Life is a celebration.
The dewdrops also give me a feeling of a fresh day, a day full of promises. I am always in gratitude when I see them.
My friend finds dew drops to look like tears. I tell her if they are tears then they bring blessings of joy and for me give the feeling of celebration in life.
This poetry is written in response to the prompt ‘Dewdrops’ on day Twenty-six, of The National Poetry Month 2021 with Shabd Aaweg Review.
