Forget Curation, Enjoy The Ride!
Few Reasons Why You Shouldn’t Wait Forever To Be Curated.
No, I didn’t get curated until now even if I’ve followed Medium’s Curation Guidelines to the letter.
That’s ok, I still have plenty of time and reasons for delight.
Getting myself affected is counterproductive. Instead, I choose to see a bigger and brighter picture.
Here are a few reasons why I don’t let myself get carried away by the long-awaited eligibility for curation and distribution.
- I never confuse a bad moment for a bad day, neither a bad month with a bad life.
- Worrying about the destination keeps me from enjoying the ride. I keep my radar open towards the end location. But I am always ready to adapt and reconfigure my route along the way. Congestion-free rides are my favorites.
- I get the fuel from exploration. I don’t worry too much about what-ifs. What if I stop worrying is more important for me.
- I want to be successful much more than I want to sleep.
- I choose what’s good for me long term instead of choosing what feels good right away.
- I am ready to become overly stubborn because setbacks and adversities inspire me. Getting hurt or rejected gives me the power to avoid quitting too soon. Instead, I make sure I get always a reward from it.
- Keeping my words it’s a matter of integrity for me. I had promised myself that I would hang around for at least one year and I will do so, no matter what.
- Feedback matters too much to me. If people are saying I inspire them, I will continue to believe it, despite not getting curated.
- Patience is my virtue, meaning I will make sure to wait enough before hitting the road.
- Giving up always seems like the easiest option. We, as people, love to make life more complicated.
- I know that long-term planning is always rather a hit-or-miss affair. I am ready to embrace either of those.
- Allowing myself to be surrendered by uncertainties keeps me from getting bored. The comfort zone is a killer disease to productivity.
- Up to this point, I had many other significant achievements in my life. But getting excellent results from everything I do is not quite my target. Learning by failing or success is as important to me. So, admitting to failure is not going to make me suffer.
- I never mistake rewarding myself for investing in myself. Investing in myself in safer, you can never go wrong with it.
