Foods I like to Eat in the Morning, Afternoon, and Evening

Three meals in the morning, afternoon, and evening are important.

This is in response to a writing prompt.

What do I like to eat?

In the morning

Over a year by now, I’ve been eating oats mainly in the morning.

I don’t just make oats with milk or warm water. My important meal in the morning starts with an Egg too.

Also what I like to add to it are chopped onion, garlic, black pepper + either salted butter or olive oil, and a pinch of salt.

A bit of onion is what I call a bit of vegetable. If I have some baby spinach or green pepper, I may also add them to the bowl.

With some hot or warm water to just about cover everything, I simply microwave it for about a minute.

Then it’s DONE.

Note, if you are trying this, make sure you lightly separate the Yolk and white with a spoon before microwaving it. Otherwise, you will see white snow all over in the microwave.

In the afternoon

Fish or meat?

It sounds like a flight attendant asks me a question.

When I go to the kitchen, I ask myself this question, “fish or meat?”

If I decide to have fish, I usually eat tuna or salmon. Occasionally, sardine or anchovy. 😄

Whichever I choose, I eat it with rice, pasta, or bread.

Sometimes it’s like my breakfast, just adding some onions, cheese, black pepper, and salt. But I try to eat vegetables, so I usually try to add some carrots, broccoli, cabbages.

With some salt, black pepper, garlic, and oil (olive oil or sesame oil), I can enjoy pretty much anything I have in the refrigerator. If I want a bit of Asian taste, I add soy sauce, ginger, and with or without hot red pepper (dried one or sauce) in addition to sesame oil.

In the evening

If I had fish in the afternoon, I often eat meat with vegetables or vegetables with or without rice/bread/pasta.

The rest is pretty much the same.

One dish I have found very tasty since last year is this. An avocado soup.

It just takes less than three minutes in the microwave for one serving. With or without little meat, one avocado plus salt, black pepper, oil, and garlic can be a comfort meal of the night.

If I want to deepen the taste, I add either a little soy sauce or sweet & hot sauce.

Wrapping-up

In the morning, I have oats & an egg as my main thing. In the afternoon, I ask myself, “fish or meat?” With some vegetables and main carbs, in the evening, I usually have the opposite one that I did not choose in the afternoon.
