Flying Right Into the Holidays

How was your November?

Cooler weather and the holidays are upon us.

Some of my children and I celebrated Thanksgiving together. I decided to let go of any traditions that didn’t bring joy and had the best Thanksgiving ever. We cooked our favorite foods, watched movies, and played games. It was nice to spend time together and enjoy a day of rest.

This is the part of being single I like the most; breaking traditions down and throwing out anything I don’t like anymore. I consult my children and we keep our favorite things but let go of anything stressful from the past.

To help me get into the Christmas spirit I’ve been watching Hallmark Christmas movies. I agree that they are cheesy and unrealistic but it feels good to spend a little time in a happy world where problems are easily solved and love wins in the end. It’s been nice to escape the problems of everyday life for a while.

I’m starting another media fast which means I will probably be writing more and actually getting some new articles up. I’ve been working hard on the podcast, and learning how to make and use promo videos and quote cards. It gets easier to juggle everything as time goes on but it is a steep learning curve at first.

Here are a few articles I found recently that I thought were worth a share.

Liz Hancock teaches you how to cheer yourself on. Love this!

Yi Shun Lai shares how she conducts a personal annual review. I think this is an amazing practice to make sure you are living your life intentionally.

Phil Woods presents the truth of the flawed family court system in his article.

I hope you have a wonderful December.

Blessings,

❤ Julia
