Flurry of Windswept Dreams

Snow Reflections

memories flurry moonlight and dreams reflected in soft windswept snow

My reflection series continues with a gift from winter. This reflection arose out of a recent haiku I wrote about winter’s calling (see below for a link). The reflections here are multidimensional. Snow reflects moonlight, lightening the dark night. The falling is transformed, upon reflection, to memories of flight and possibility. And so too when we observe, we can see in the purity of fresh snow, a reflection of our own purity beneath the dressings of the day. This memory lives deep in us and can be awakened through our relationship to nature and, in this way, our dreams of unity and possibility can take flight once more, like windswept snow that relearns to fly.
