This is part of an exploration into the interconnectedness of nature and how the simple observation of interdependence allows us to transcend the ego without discarding it. I am hoping to explore how the object-subject distinction can evaporate when we see our own reflection in nature.
In this piece, the haiku reflect each other, just as the flower and the hummingbird reflect each other’s needs, and how we can see our own interdependence reflected in and through the simple observation of nature. In this way, we recognize that we are a part of nature rather than apart from nature.
