Flowers Are A Powerhouse of Beauty And Positive Energy
In response to prompt 19 of Dancing Elephants Press.

This morning I read a beautiful nature post by Joyce Nielsen. I quote her words
“Flowers symbolize the beauty and love of God. Their energy uplifts our moods, making us happy. The Creator must have known we would need them to nourish our souls. When flowers are present in a room or our yards, our bodies react and become calmer.”-Joyce Nielsen.
I felt as though she had taken the words from my thoughts about flowers. I decided to write my feelings to add to her words.
To me, Flowers are a powerhouse of beauty and positive energy. They are an inspiration. They bring joy to our lives.
I cannot think of beauty without flowers around me. I certainly feel just like Joyce that God knew that we need flowers and so he gave them to us to nourish our souls.
Flowers not only bring beauty to our lives but the moment we see them we feel strong and powerful vibes through us. There is a natural quietness and we smell the fragrance and feel one with nature. It is a spiritual experience.
Let me narrate some experiences.
In New Delhi, the President’s estate is known to have a Mughal garden. It is the pride of Delhi. It opens once a year for 1 month and 20 days.
The photograph above will show you how big it is. It is housed on 15 acres of land.
The Mughal garden does not have a history of Mughals. It was designed by Sir Lutyens and brought together two different horticulture traditions together for the gardens, the Mughal style, and the English flower garden. Mughal canals, terraces, and flowering shrubs are beautifully blended with European flowerbeds, lawns, and private areas.
It has now been renamed Amrit Udyan.
The point I am driving here is that gardens and flowers have been loved by everyone in history. They may be Islamic, Christian, Hindu, Jain, Buddhist, or Sikh but in all holy places, palaces, and government offices, and private homes flowers are present.
Why are they present?
They bring beauty to the eyes. They make people feel comfortable and happy.
The case for example is the garden in New Delhi. A sneak peek is given to citizens. Who does not want to see it?
We do not know the nationality of the flowers. They do not care. They just grow.
There are roses all over the world. Tulips were famous in the Netherlands but now the world is growing them. The Netherlands has been sharing the seedlings with other countries.
Flowers spread their fragrance. They bring us close to each other.
The Mughal Gardens now called Amrit Udyan is full of tulips in different colors. There are yellow, orange, purple, pink, and cream-colored tulips.

The tulips were smiling and so was my friend Sandy who was visiting with me. Excitedly she broke into a song and we both felt the happiness, positivity newfound energy within us.
The board showed that there were 8000 people in the garden while we were there but we did not feel them at all. (12000 had entered and 4000 had already left)
The flowers had the power to completely ensnare us as though we were the only ones in the garden.

This garden had mixed flowers of Dahlias, roses, and chrysanthemums. We spent a lot of time in the peace of the garden.

These beautiful colors of flowers spoke to me and said “why do people have color differences? Look at us, we coexist with love”.
Flowers teach us the importance of color differences. To have friends from different nationalities and see the goodness of people. It brings positivity of life and energy into our system.
We have not only physical but mental benefits from looking at flowers. See the small video clip I made at the Amrit Udyan.
