NATURE|JOY|POSITIVITY

Flowers Bloom And Fill Life with Positivity And Joy.

Dancing Elephants Press Prompt 19 of 52

“Flowers are like friends; they bring color to your world.”– Unknown

When you walk into someone’s home or to a venue where there is a wedding or a celebration and you see flowers adorning the place you get a feeling of being welcomed. It immediately brings color to your life. It inspires you and joy and positivity begin to work for you.

You move a step ahead and feel like smiling. You also begin to think that the host is very caring and is looking after you. Such is the power of flowers.

Recently I have been traveling. I have seen flowers in gardens, restaurants, hotels, and holy places like churches and temples.

Each time I feel inspired and think about how flowers are our good friends when we want to be motivated and feel the positivity of people.

It makes me feel that flowers have a lot of value in my life.

The quote below by Luther Burbank aptly summarizes my feelings for flowers.

“Flowers always make people better, happier, and more helpful; they are sunshine, food, and medicine for the soul.” — Luther Burbank

Flowers have a lot of positive effects on our well-being.

In my recent travels, I saw beds of blooming flowers outdoors with beautiful trees shading them and the sun smiling at them.

I felt that such a lush environment had the power to impact my brain with positivity and a sense of calmness.

If a short trip could impact my brain and do such wonders what would be the magnitude of its positive impact on the well-being of people if it was part of our lives?

I traveled again and stayed in a hotel. They had decorated flowers in various vases everywhere.

Flowers in vases in indoor spaces kept me in a good mood and I saw other people were also happy as they were looking at the beautiful decorations of flowers. They do bring happiness.

It is my firm belief that

Flowers affect the body, mind, and soul of a person.

When you nurture plants and put the seeds in the ground and watch them take shape and slowly germinate it is therapeutic. Their fragrance and colors promote positivity.

The sweet fragrance of flowers relaxes the nerves and if there is any stress playing in your mood it just melts away keeping the body and mind in a state of balance.

“Flowers don’t worry about how they’re going to bloom. They just open up and turn toward the light and that makes them beautiful.”– Jim Carrey

Research studies show that flowers do bring positivity and happiness to people. The Society of American Florists worked in cooperation with the Rutgers research team.

“A team of researchers explored the link between flowers and life satisfaction in a 10-month study of participants’ behavioral and emotional responses to receiving flowers. The results show that flowers are a natural and healthful moderator of moods”.
