First Cup of the Day

#11 of 31 Days in May SCWBI Challenge – A haiku for you

A little eye spying on the prep to the first cup — photo my own

One short black for me

Caffeine buzz for the whole day

Drug or not, can’t say

The smell of the beans a magical moment to start the day. One I treasure even more at the moment…am taking a break from caffeine for a spell to calm some jitters.

A through and through coffee lover, more than worthy of a shout out here, is the lovable character Bobby in Robert Nelson’s unfolding novel

Christine another lover of the first cup of the day

Saloni Joshi has a call from Miss Serendipity with the prompt “Good Luck Charm”

Rasheed’s “balance” of words

thought provoking question on good luck vs godspeed in

and shining a light on lanterns

Selma’s wisdom beautiful as always with the prompt “listen”

I apologise if I have missed anyone else’s pieces playing with prompts. Please give me a nudge if I have. Thank you!
