POEM OF VALUE
Finding Joy in The Junk
Do messages filter through your mind like processing emails? Do you skip the listening, filter right past the trash, and dump them in the junk?

Update, refresh, the numbers show how fast they can amass Non-stop streaming devices, I’ll take a welcomed pass
Do your earbuds amplify or, when approached, a stand-in for goodbye The faster you swipe, choosing to ignore instead of reply
What do you value, when do you flag it My arm may tire after how long I must wave it
Did you miss what I finally had the courage to say Or the random, “I love you” amidst the stress in your day
You may pause and want to go back, check the file, plan your feedback Too much time has passed, your automated dump lost even with a hack
When your inboxes are now empty, will anyone be sending Did you filter all the voices with ignorance and pretending
Restart your mind, listen well, don’t lose your spunk You may just find your joy in the junk
