Feminism is More than equality

Between genders More than equal rights or equal pay

More than being able to do the same things go to the same places

Vote Work

It is about valuing women Valuing difference

Making space in structure for the things women’s bodies, women’s lives, women’s history, women’s work, women’s roles, femininity

Do and have done and are about and are used for It is about lifting up and valuing all of us,

Ending toxic masculinity and male privilege Ending oppressions both personal and political

It’s about saying dresses and pink and lipstick and folk music are just as badass and worthy of time, money, effort and respect

As pants, blue, trucks, rock, and whatever else is deemed masculine and manly

It’s about knowing that spaces have been set up to account for and cater to male bodies, male needs, male desires, male wishes, male histories, male biology

And then working to address this in a way that values all bodies, all needs, all desires, all wishes, all histories, all biologies

It is not rocket science, it is not mythology It is sacred, it is intersectionality

It is lifting up the female in energy, word, deed, spirit, goal and mission

And thus achieving equality in the end in ways that might just restructure society, shift the economy, readjust the government

In ways that care for kids, care for caring, care for lives, care for health, care for families, care for the earth -

Not just pay Not just work
