A Poem

Fatigued

Let Me Rest, Let me Live

Photo by Annie Spratt on Unsplash

My back aches, my body groans, I’m tired, but I still push onward.

I do sleep, I find sleep , It makes no difference, I’m still tired to the bone.

I need to rest, I need to be content. With these restless nights I find no such thing, I need to be freed from my listless daydreams,

But they blaze as bright and vivid as the midday sun.

Fatigued, I am drained, With no reason for it in sight, But still I am hopeful,

for one restful night.
