You focus on external success and power in some form.</p><p id="af44">For me, that looked like getting good grades, being athletic, prioritizing my career, and striving for the perfect physical appearance.</p><p id="ea25" type="7">We grew up in judgmental environments where it felt safer to be excellent, at the cost of authenticity and wholeness.</p><p id="df7c">You will likely struggle to relax and express the imbalance in addiction or perfectionism. You may get tension headaches and forget how to have fun.</p><p id="cf8c">You may feel powerful and successful, but you’re unsure what you won.</p><h1 id="f228">2. Connecting with Feminine Energy</h1><h2 id="0e91">We need to start by giving ourselves lots of self-compassion.</h2><p id="f4b5">If any of this content resonates, you need a lot of <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rUMF5R7DoOA">self-compassion</a>. We all need more self-compassion, especially when we experience psychological conflict.</p><p id="c2b4" type="7">We need to create a sense of safety and autonomy for ourselves and reconnect with our creativity.</p><p id="2aa3">We need to spend time with ourselves and reconnect with our intuition. Father’s Girl: How to Embrace the Loving Femininity We Crave

Women who adopted masculine values early on have a unique struggle to reconnect with femininity.

Are you a woman who feels competitive, driven, or highly logical? Do you prioritize efficiency and discipline? Do you struggle with addiction or perfectionism? Were you daddy’s little girl? You are not alone.

Without grounding in femininity, our masculinity becomes overpowering.

Without grounding in femininity, our masculinity becomes overpowering. We crave power for power’s sake, develop addictions, and choose partners who feed our dysfunctions. We spend our lives trying to be someone else’s version of success. Our patriarchal culture has led to critical and judgmental childhoods. We feel like we need to earn our parents’ love and attention.

For women, we spend our lives unconsciously trying to be the “ideal” woman. We compete and push ourselves to be better when we desperately want to relax and feel loved.

With awareness and self-compassion, we can trust our intuition, honor our feelings, and do life our way, prioritizing our own needs and happiness. I am uncovering my most authentic Self by clearing out the conditioning that has kept me small and lonely.

Here are my truth and dream of a loving, authentic, balanced culture.

My Story

As a child, I was called “stubborn” and “hard-headed.” I prefer “determined” and “persistent.” I never felt feminine or creative.

I developed my inner masculine, and I have always been the most efficient, driven, and disciplined person I know. I had big goals and a step-by-step plan.

Beneath the surface, I struggled with never feeling good enough. I believed I needed to earn respect and praise from myself and others. Earlier this year, I felt the most externally successful and internally failing. Something felt very wrong. I had breakdowns that have led to breakthroughs.

Through the struggle, I am learning to stop trying to earn love and attention. Relationships should be a two-way experience, and I am not responsible for anyone else’s feelings. I am learning to connect with my femininity, prioritize consciousnesses, ground, listen to my body, and honor my needs and feelings.

Now, I hope anyone experiencing similar struggles will have more clarity and a path forward. I hope you will wrap yourself in self-compassion. Here are some patterns to look for and ways to create balance.
