‘Oh god I hate this’ says the King

While many say King Charles III is the most prepared King-in-waiting and had decades to prepare for his new role, one can never be prepared in dealing with death.

As he ascended to the throne, he also has to bury his mother.

And now that the world is watching, it is easy for him to fail in what is expected of him, to be like his mother — Queen Elizabeth II.

It has only been days since the queen had died, and the new king had been busy with the affairs of the state.

In mourning, one can easily snap at people, and at themselves.

This isn’t to make excuses for the new king. I just happen to know what it is like to lose a mother — the days that followed, the sleepless nights, and the questions that linger inside your head.

Many on social media are supportive of the new king, for someone who is 73, he must be dead-tired — no pun intended.

“Oh god I hate this (pen)!” Charles said, standing up and handing the pen to his wife, Camilla, Queen Consort.

“Oh look, it’s going everywhere,” Camilla said as her husband wiped his fingers.

“I can’t bear this bloody thing … every stinking time,” Charles said as he walked away. — as transcribed by The Guardian.

Maybe it will get less busy as the days passed.

The overwhelming grief shown by a grateful nation to the queen who is deeply loved should pull the family together.

Truth is, we all have dealt with leaky pens, and I find it annoying.

A leaky pen is a pen that leaks ink. It can be caused by a number of things, including a defective ink cartridge, a crack in the barrel of the pen, or even just a poorly made pen. Leaky pens can be annoying and frustrating, but while there a few things you can do to try to fix them, it is sometimes just better to throw them away.

Lastly, there is no doubt that the King is grieving, and he could take comfort in his mother’s own words,

Grief is the price we pay for love.
