October Morning Harvest

Morning stillness. Surrounding beauty. Stepping outside off my door in the morning I was not sure what to expect. The air was fresh and crisp. The birds were singing, the sun was hiding. The sky was cloudy, and a gentle sprinkle of rain started to water the ground.

I closed my eyes and stood still enjoying the moment. I was thankful for being here in this particular moment in this specific space.

Being thankful brings great joy to your life. Bing still helps you connect with everything around you.

I started a new mantra for myself to provide calmness and support in my life.

I am Love. I am Joy. I am Gratefulness. My House is Stillness.

I had written about bringing joy into your life, gratefulness, kindness, and mindfulness before.

It is a topic that keeps showing up in my life every day.

My morning harvest brought more gratefulness in my life as I found multiple edible treasures that morning. I was able to harvest apples, pears, mushrooms, herbs, cucumbers.

This morning I had an encounter with a deer who had been munching on the apples, grape leaves, raspberries, and whatever else she might find intriguing in our garden. She likes many of our flowers as well. It was just me, and the deer. She jumped as soon as she saw me. Then stopped for a second and looked back. I felt that she would like to say something. Maybe “thank you for sharing your apples”. Our neighbor told me later that day that they saw the same deer and her baby with a huge apple in her mouth that she just got from their honey crisp apple tree. She seems to be a regular visitor to both of our gardens.

The morning beauty was a great reminder of the quiet moments of joy and appreciation for life, the present moment, existence. Moments like these bring the connection and support with all living things creating harmony and peace.
