Exciting News! Summer Heat Gone! Weather Improves!
San Antonio’s morning low was 70. Expected High low 80s
So why am I excited? Fall has taken its sweet time coming this year. Usually, the heat breaks in San Antonio about the third week of September, but afternoon highs in the mid-’90s have extended into October.
When the temperatures rise to the upper 80s in the northern US, meteorologists call it a heatwave in midsummer. In south Texas, we call midsummer temperatures like that a cold front.
I ran an errand this morning. I saw a family out walking to the bus stop. Mom had on a sweater, and Junior was wearing a hoodie.
I have one more comment about the weather; I’m so glad I don’t live in Phoenix.
