Excellent Reasons Why You Need to Discover Cloud-Watching
The Right Type of Cloud Is Easy to Identify — Hypnotic, article 3 of a 3-article series.
Introduction
This is article three of a three-article series. I will finish cloud gazing in this article and decide whether to see some local sites. I bring the reader along for the trip. I hope you have enjoyed reading the articles on clouds. Now, for the rest of the story.
The Cloud Gazing and Dream Conclude
The sky has now changed from a beautiful blue to a dismal gray, and in the distance, I can even see some darker clouds headed in this direction. We might be experiencing this type of weather for a while. The temperature has gone from a pleasant and inviting 70 degrees Fahrenheit to a cool 45 degrees.
The rain seems to go on forever. So much for laying on a blanket and imagining cloud shapes and stories they might tell. Before returning home, I must decide whether to continue to enjoy Switzerland and the clouds or go on and see the other sites here.
I stopped at a local pub and spoke with the bartender about the weather. The bartender has lived in Switzerland most of her life and tells me there is no telling what will happen after a storm like we are seeing. Sometimes, the weather improves dramatically; other times, it starts to snow, and you don’t see the ground for months. I will turn into my room at the Bed & Breakfast and wait for a while before deciding.
The thunderstorm yesterday was a doozy. I have not seen a fierce storm in quite a while. Well, as luck would have it, the weather improved overnight.
When I got up this morning, I looked out the windows of my room and saw cirrus clouds mixed with cirrocumulus clouds. I am seeing high, thin, and wispy clouds. I am hopeful that things went well for the King and his soldiers.
The clouds I am seeing this morning are a welcome site. The formation of these clouds indicates warm fronts ahead, but they could also bring precipitation.
I saw one specific picture of clouds and included it in this article series where the clouds reminded me of the King and his pet dragon. The King was wielding his battle ax, and the dragon used its hooves to fight against the enemy.
Most of the time, when you see these clouds, you need to know that they represent a beautiful day, but they can be your fair warning of storms.
I should turn on the weather channel to see what they forecast for my area. It will help me decide on the clouds or the other sites I can see.
The weather channel reported that Nimbostratus clouds will form later in the day. I will decide now because the report also said ice pellets or snow would be forthcoming. The sky will turn gray and featureless for 24 to 48 hours, starting at 5 PM.
I have decided to see the other sites while I am here. I don’t think that cloud gazing is in the cards this time around, or at least beyond what I have already been able to do. I look toward the mountains, and I see a lenticular cloud.
I have not seen a cloud of this type before, but when I look at it, I think of a spaceship and invaders from another planet or galaxy. I hope the King and his soldiers see this, too, and that they take action to neutralize the threat.
The sites I plan to see are Lake Lucerne, Reuss, Mount Pilatus, and Rigi in the Swiss Alps. I will also check out the Chapel Bridge.

The King and his soldiers were victorious and may have vowed never to be involved in a war again. The King’s soldiers maintain their training and willingness to go to war if the King ever needs them.
Conclusion
Our three-article series has reached its end. In these articles, we examined the definition of cloud, looked at various types of clouds, discovered what conditions make clouds, and discussed what makes clouds appear in different shapes and sizes.
We looked at what a cloud can tell us, why they form, what makes one different from another, and last but certainly not least, we saw what happened when I lay down in a field in Switzerland to observe clouds. We hope you enjoyed these articles and perhaps even learned about clouds and Switzerland.
