WHAT IS YOUR POETRY ABOUT PROMPT
Everything and Nothing
But my poems have to rhyme

I don’t have a theme when I veer off course and write a poem instead of an essay to express and enlight I’ve written odes and sonnets and a lot of rhymed verse The other styles of poetry — for me — are a curse
Free verse, Haiku and Tantra’s are poetry tools you can do what you like, although some have rules In truth, poetry takes on various forms but whenever I write poetry, rhyming is my norm
I can’t write free verse, even if I tried No matter the subject, my ability denied I admire those who can; all you Mediumites — it’s mind-blowing, transforming, and well-liked
I’m not sure I can match the qualities of those who excel at the art of entertainment and what will ‘sell’ Poetry that is deep and meaningful; linguistically fueled Cleverly crafted into magnificent jewels to make our brains think on a deeper sphere — even if the message wasn’t exactly clear Words that are scripted, thought-provoking, gob-smacking The art of free verse I’m seriously lacking
They do not rhyme like mine have to, They conjure up visions that invariably pull through Although I can’t ditch the rhyming thing for those of you who can, I’m worshipping.
I’ll write a poem when I see fit to convey the thoughts I want to transmit It’s just another medium to express my words to make a point be seen — and heard
