Even My Mom Has Fallen In Love With My Cat!
The Cat Experiment: My mom says she can’t live without Mini
Mini, a cute cat I adopted to do an experiment, is with us for more than a month. She has now become a permanent member of our family, the most restless and adorable one.
But a few months ago, when I first told my parents that I would love to adopt a cat, they both gave their veto on it. Now, after just one month of Mini’s arrival, the scenario has completely changed. They both love to spend time with my cute little cat-child.
Even a few days ago, my mom said, Now, I cannot live without Mini. Without her, the home will turn into a gloomy place.
I understand her feelings. And I know it was never an overstatement. The rest of the family members feel the same.
Why my mom has fallen in love with Mini
Why we love someone or something in the first place? Because it makes us feel good. It gives us immense joy and the time we spend together seems meaningful.
In love, we transport ourselves into another world where nothing else matters except the sheer excitement and experience of love. It’s not only true for human love but also your pet.
My cat, Mini, gives my mom a great experience by filling her lonely time with fun and excitement. Mini runs (actually dances with her tiny legs) across the rooms, play ping pong balls with my mom and tries to adore her with her soft claws. It gives my mom a sense of attachment.
So, she loves Mini and touches her head, brushes her body-hair with the bare hand. We never thought it would happen because my mother never touched any pets as she always feared them.
Now, everything changed. My mom plays hide and seek with my cat, feeds her, and talks a lot of sweet-meaningless talk with the sweetest tone. Mini responds every time with a soft, vague ‘mew.’ And my mom loves it.
When some birds chirp outside, Mini rushes to the window. She sits quietly and enjoys the outside sights and sounds for hours. My mom frequently visits to see what she is doing.
So, I asked my mom, You were against adopting Mini, now what do you feel? My mom replied with a smile, Now, I cannot live without Mini. Without her, the home will be a gloomy place. She is so cute and I love her.
It’s not just my mom, it’s the same with me, and my dad as well. Now we cannot think of a day without this adorable cat. She upgraded the environment of our home.
I almost forgot to tell you that Mini is very fond of my laptop. She uses it as her sleeping place. And of course, occasionally, she reads The Masterpiece as you see in the below photo.
When she takes the floor, I feel helpless and do nothing but surrender.
Raising a cat or dog or any other pet is exactly like raising a kid. You will get a parenting experience without being an actual parent. And it’s tremendously rewarding.
It will keep you busy, gives you immense joy, and fill the void inside you with peace and laughter. You will feel less stressed and more proactive.
It will make you fall in love with it the way Mini made my mom fell in love with her.
