The Eurovision Song Contest 2022 returns to Italy. The great musical event begins today at the Pala Olimpico in Turin with the first semifinal. THE EVENT

60% of travelers have planned a stay of one to three nights in the Piedmontese capital. Only 11% have organized a stay of up to 7 nights.
THE THREE CONDUCTORS
Laura Pausini, Mika, and Alessandro Cattelan are the hosts of the Eurovision 2022. They presented themselves at an official press conference. Laura Pausini will pay homage to Raffaella Carrà, the late world icon, by singing “Fiesta”.
Laura Pausini will then duet with Mika. They will perform under the banner of peace. They will choose the notes of a Patti Smith song.
Laura Pausini and Alessandro Cattelan will present Blanco and Mahmood on stage. Their song is “Brividi”. They will perform as representatives of Italy on Saturday 14 May in the Eurovision Final.
In the cast, there is another Italian. It’s Achille Lauro and he’s competing for San Marino.
The main theme that is the background to the whole event is Peace. The three conductors will also embody a message of unity before the eyes of the whole world. The audience is about 200 million spectators.
THE STREAMING
Spotify collected data on ratings and competing artists. The event is more popular than ever. Eurovision playlist streams increased by 594% during the 2021 edition. With 27 million streaming minutes. Also last year, 71% of Eurovision playlist streams came from listeners aged 13 to 34.
It seems that Italy has what it takes to replicate the success of Måneskin also in the new edition. The song “Brividi” by Mahmood and Blanco was the most listened of Eurovision on Spotify. Between January and March 2022 has had over 77 million streams. This is 5 times higher than the second in the standings, Hold Me Closer by Cornelia Jakobs (Sweden). In third place is De Deipte of S10 (Netherlands).
Finally, the song “Brividi” is the most listened to in most of the participating countries, 28 out of 40.
