Eternal Lessons – A Poem
As this year comes to an end.
This year, both great and tough,
I’ve learned that all things are temporary,
Moments, feelings, people, and flowers,
Love is giving, even when it hurts, sincerely.
Vulnerability is a choice, always right,
In a world that hardens hearts with strife,
For all things come in pairs, balanced,
Life and death, pain and joy, sweet and rife.
This year, I’ve hurt deeply, yet lived so well,
Turning strangers into friends, friends into strangers,
Focusing on warm energy, embracing its spell,
Becoming better lovers to the world, avoiding dangers.
If we can’t be kinder to one another,
How can we heal the desperate parts within?
Let’s learn to be gentle, to love, and to smother,
And in doing so, let your fears thin.
Hope you liked the poem.
