Abstract

s note: Consider for a moment we are energy beings. As time progresses, we give more and more of our attention (energy) to an electronic device in the palm of our hands. This device does not need our energy to survive as it has its own power supply. Will there come a time when all of our energy will have been depleted by giving our attention to this device? Will we then collapse to the ground as an amorphous blob? Or perhaps will the atoms comprising us no longer be held together by the thought that is “us?”

Thank you to Michael Burg, MD (AKA Medium Michael Burg) for issuing the challenge to write a rhyming poem using six words: field, photography, e*-state (*electronic

Escape to e-States

Dissolved in our devices

I’ll never know why people throw Themselves into photography. Or why they dive into e-states, To me remains a mystery. It seems momentum in our hands Draws us into the quantum field, Where, atoms lost, we’ve lost ourselves, No longer able to be healed.

Author’s note: Consider for a moment we are energy beings.

Thank you to Michael Burg, MD (AKA Medium Michael Burg) for issuing the challenge to write a rhyming poem using six words: field, photography, e*-state (*electronic), throw, momentum, mystery (in no particular order). And “thank you” Jupiter Grant for tagging me in on this challenge!
