Entering A New Cycle of Life
On My 69th Birthday
The Age of Change refreshed for me today. It is my 69th Birthday.
Today, a new cycle of my life begins, as the previous cycle ended yesterday’s life journey paving the way for new beginnings, refreshed happiness, and more opportunities for service to reach beyond my grasp so as to move closer to attain satisfying aspirational life goals.
The number “69” is shaped like the Chinese “yin-yang” symbol of permanent eternal change. Nearly 4,000 years ago, the Chinese discovered that everything in the universe, from nature, human relationships to minute energy particle interactions is participating in a ceaseless process of change guided by simple, yet universal patterns. This discovery continues to influence the development and functioning of Chinese socio-political systems and a rich intellectual and philosophical culture.
On my 69th birthday today, I am reminded again that change is timeless, and is in fact independent of time itself.
Yesterday, today and tomorrow are just markers on a time horizon which is common to everyone. Time is permanent and eternal; meaning it has no beginning or ending. If yesterday were a different day, and tomorrow yet another, is the future therefore in front or behind us? The “passage” of time is a misnomer; it is actually a space metaphor like the “distance” of space.
The past, present and future are concurrent and this awakening leads one to self-awareness of our change management options. We have to consciously leave “behind” all and every past baggage as we engage the ever-present in the future without them.
The important lesson from this “yin-yang” concept is to change your problem issues by changing your creative mind innovatively. Specifically, you can change your life by changing your mindware. Bottomline is, you can change your life by transforming your mind.
The basic dualism principle of I-Ching (Yijing), as depicted also by the number “69”, provides the key to unlock the solutions to embrace, adapt and master change in order to obtain new harmonious equilibriums, however temporarily, as one continues to strive and persevere for that elusive, unattainable and unsustainable balance of conflicting change forces.
Made of the number “6” and the number “9”, the “69” sequence contains abundant meaning and symbolism. It symbolises both completion and new beginnings. The dual nature of the number, in its mutual invertedness, strongly suggests letting go of things before embracing something new.
The number “6” is all about experiences, new happenings, and thriving on life’s challenges. The number “6” points to our daily life at home, work, play, and love. It embraces activities and relationships, duties and responsibilities, service and loyalty. Its energies drive positivity as one navigates life’s potholes and pitfalls along life’s pathways to overcome obstacles blocked by habits and legacy thinking so as to open new mindsets to create and open new futures. “6” is an active number, resulted from multiplying “2” and “3”, that empowers the scaling of new heights and thrive by overcoming challenges.
As an inverted “6”, the masculine number “9” provides the essential balancing weight to counter-balance whatever negative downsides or pitfalls associated with the feminine number “6”. It understands that our relationships and daily life are major factors impacting our spiritual awakening and progress. “9” warns that toxic friends, people, and life’s challenges can unbalance and affect our life. Together with “6”, they embolden introspection and reflections to regularly address and re-calibrate your current life choices and life mission progress.
From a numerological perspective, the number “69” therefore navigates between the beauty of life and the balance in living life itself. “69” is a number of assurance and comfort, and life at 69 would also be one of challenges and change.
The number 69 is especially significant because it symbolizes both completion and new beginnings. This dual nature of the number reflects how we must let go of things before we can embrace something new.
Interestingly, a deeper dive into “69” yielded the following insights:
(6+9) = 15; where (1+5) = 6 = (2x3);
and
(2x3) and (3x3) = 69;
3(2+3); is [3(5) = 15]
At the core of “69” is a string of root prime numbers (2, 3, 5); whereas (3x5=15), but 15 is not a prime number. Prime numbers are numbers that can only be divisible by themselves respectively and individually.
Leading the string of root prime numbers of “69” is the harmonious number “2”, which is essentially feminine “yin” energy like the number “6”. The symbolism of “2” is unity; the union and peace between diverse entities, by ending separateness and unites all for the greater benefits and good for sustainable development eg. Ending poverty, eliminating hunger, ensuring health and well-being … etc.
The next root prime number of “69” is the creative “3”, the expert communicator in all forms of human expression, and always bursting with ideas, thoughts, visions, dreams, and musings with impatience to share with the world. It attracts and mobilises supportive spiritual energies to empower transforming these creative notions into reality.
“3” loves to be surrounded and embraced by nature, as its curious, imaginative, and artistic nature seeks innovative solutions that are often unconventional. It sets my “69” life cycle on a foundation of plenty and abundance, embolden building long-term relationship through excellent workplace values, sound advice, and constructive perspectives.
Aptly rounding up the root prime numbers of “69” is the number “5”, that is often regarded as the most dynamic and energetic number. It encapsulates the essence of “yin-yang” in the soul of “69”; representing heaven and earth, masculine and feminine energies, as well as the pull of opposing energies, like falling down and getting up, breaking up and building anew, and being both active and passive, and the mundane and esoteric. Like “yin-yang”, it has both fire and water elements, like night and day, and often thrives in the energies of opposites.
Insightfully, 69÷3=23; where (2+3) also =5.
For my life in the “69” cycle, “5” will provide the necessary wisdom, morality, truth, and judgment needed to dissolve the shifting boundaries between dynamic “yin-yang” forces by combining them through synergy, re-constitution, and re-calibration.
Life in the “69” lane cycle from today is expected to be one of change and challenges. It would be like riding in a carriage drawn by a pair of yin (6) and yang (9) horses on an endless journey, through ever-changing landscape and geography, and everything is changing always, anytime, and everywhere, anywhere. The only effective response is to accept the changes, adapting and adjusting accordingly in order to survive, thrive, develop, and grow, like the metamorphosis of the butterfly, or the constant atomic vibration in solids, or in our continuous thought and mood swings.
