Empowering Medium Writers: I Always Clap, Highlight And Leave Comments.
My Blueprint And Approach To Maximize Author Rewards And Recognition
Having trouble getting noticed on Medium?
I have been a Medium Member for one month, during January, as I wanted to track my own results and analyze some of the stats I gained.
I quickly decided that I would become a Friend of Medium instead, starting in February, which is the very reason for this post.
I am a new Friend of Medium (FOM) and I want to spread the benefits of my membership with my fellow writers. I want to give more, and I want to support the writers I read the most.
That’s why a Friend of Medium membership was a no-brainer for me.
It’s no secret that FOM members are able to give writers four (4) times more earnings when reading content, and I figured that’s exactly the type of role I want to have. That’s the type of power I want to have.
Bin Jiang wrote a post called “The Real Power of F-R-E-E” and within that story, you can find a superb, and very effective list of things you can do on Medium, for free.
This is what he said:
A list of free and cool things you can do on Medium.
1. Read the Post and apply what you have learned.
2. Highlight, comment, and clap on a Post (in this order please)
3. Write a Post about the lessons and things that went well or not for you.
4. Always respond to those that often come by, only need a few of those.
5. Join a Pub? Choose one Below.
He also shared a link to this post by Sam Krämer, where you can find 3 new Medium publications that anyone can join(!)
The second point in the list resonates with me to 101%, which is the reason for this post. That is literally my exact approach.
I highlight, comment, and clap on posts whenever I interact with them, and I do it- and will continue to do it frequently. That simply means that all Medium writers will earn more whenever I’m around.
I am looking for more content to read and interact with. I am looking for writers who enjoy conversations and writers who are longing for (more) engagement in their content.
I have just made 38 comments on posts by various authors and my goal is to engage with my fellow writers until my fingers bleed(!)
I truly believe in engagement and I am a firm believer in the fact that engagement is the most important ingredient in a success recipe.
While I interact- and engage with content, all writers will earn 4x earnings, so it’s a clear win-win situation for everyone.
Let’s Have Some Fun, Shall We?
