Writing prompts about emotions

I am currently reading A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara — which is dubbed as one of the saddest books ever — and so far, I can agree with that statement. It is devastating, and I'm barely halfway in; I'm so emotionally attached to it that whenever something bad happens to the protagonist, it feels like a personal slap. Thus, this week’s prompts will be around emotions.

This week’s prompts

The saddest book you’ve ever read

A book that pulled at your heartstrings and left you devastated. a book that broke you. Do you have such a book? Share it!

Your favourite sad book

We all have a favourite book — one that made us happy, one that left us addicted to it, one that is unforgettable — but what is the one that made you sad? Share it!

A book that made you cry

An ugly sob, a heaving back, waterworks cascading down your cheeks — did a book do this to you? If you have such a book, share it!
