Deep within, I sensed that nagging, indescribable feeling that something wasn’t right. The wind howled outside, and the waves swelled as they broke furiously in the distance.
It was an unsettling feeling. A knot was twisting in my gut, warning me of imminent danger.
My intuition! I have sworn that I will follow my intuition and be present. Numerous pitfalls often lurk in the shadows of enchantment, and I knew them from before time.
Beyond the old fireplace, there was another world, the Fae’s. Its entrance was concealed within the ancient stones, hidden from mortal eyes by magical illusions.

I scanned the dimly lit room with my heart in my throat, pounding.
Suddenly, my eyes locked onto a pair of glowing green orbs in the encroaching darkness.
In the corner, I found the missing cat, its eyes reflecting the fear and uncertainty that had gripped her moments before.
“Hey, kitty kitty! Hey, Purple! What are you doing there?” I asked in a hushed voice.
The cat cowered in the corner, its fur bristling with fear and its eyes wide with an inexplicable terror.
As I went closer, I noticed a strange energy in the air—some sort of intangible presence.
A dark shadow was hovering slowly over the room in circles. It seemed to linger just beyond my sight, a spectral entity of sorts.
Was it perhaps the Fae feeling the air and trying out tricks?
Without warning, a sudden gust of icy wind swept across the room, sending shivers down my spine. The small shelf by the window trembled violently before crashing to the ground. The next moment, its contents were scattered across the floor.
There was a force unseen but undeniably present. That was definitely not the Fae from beyond the fireplace.
My intuition was telling me we had to get out of the house, but where to?
