Lodestar — January Prompts
A few prompts to stir the imagination
Non-Medium members can read this freely here!
Hello to all the brilliant minds at Lodestar Gazette! Sorry for the slight delay in rolling out our January Prompts — better late than never, right?
As this is the first year for my publication, I wanted to try different approaches with a fresh approach to stir your creativity. I’m tossing around two ideas: monthly or weekly prompts. Keen to hear which one tickles your fancy. Let’s make this interactive and fun!
You’re probably aware I love doing AI images and receiving quite a bit of praise for them. Thought I’d share a few with you. As well as some written prompts.
Let’s see what stories or poems these spark in your imagination. Remember, there’s no such thing as a wrong answer in the world of creativity. You can use the images in your post or create your own!
Now on to some written Prompts:
- Write about a character who’s never encountered a problem they couldn’t buy their way out of — until they do.
- Write about a game of ‘truth or dare’ that goes horribly wrong.
- Write about a monster trying to become more human. Or about a human trying to become more monstrous.
- Begin your story with a character having a gut feeling they cannot explain.
Remember, these can be in Story or poem form, and there are no right or wrong answers.
