Will Your Medium Earnings Decrease in March?

In the last few days, you cannot have missed the amount of earnings reports on here. Everybody seems to be raving or complaining about their February earnings.

As Bin Jiang mentions in this story:

His earnings for February weren’t as high as he had expected.

One common theme for these posts is that February was a slow month for earnings.

So, how was February for you? And will March be the same?

As for March, it’s all speculation. But looking at my stats, it seems like the trend will continue.

I had a big peak at the end of February because of this story:

Ever since then, my stats have been decreasing. And for March, it’s looking even worse. I’m rapidly declining toward my pre-peak stats.

But I’m not concerned, and neither should you…

Why?

Medium shouldn’t just be all about making money, you know?

Think about the reason why you started writing here. It probably wasn’t the cash. There are so many other things you could do if that were your only goal.

Speaking for myself, writing on Medium might be the worst hourly wage I’ve ever had.

Let’s take a moment to calculate it…

$197.83 / (102 Stories * 2Hours) = $0.97/Hour

Oh yeah, that’s definitely the worst hourly wage I’ve had!

But is it worth it?

100%!
