Earning More Money Is Not Earning More Happiness
Hey, take a break!

Very few people know when to stop.
Most people work day and night to secure their family’s future. They take two or three jobs at the same time. Those who run businesses work extra hours, sacrificing everything else.
They go by the mantra — money can buy happiness.
They believe that a little more money will secure their and their children’s future. A few extra bucks will help them solve the problems they have in life. That’s why, all they do is work, work, and work — without taking a break.
Then one day, the god of wealth bestows her blessing, and money starts coming into their life. They pay their bills, repay all the loans, purchase fancy gadgets — with a big smile on their face.
But what does happen then? Do they feel satisfied, secure, and happy?
No mister! They don’t.
The race for money doesn’t end there.
Now, they start to compare their life with the richer ones. They discover that they are nothing compared to people with more wealth and fame. So, they run after more and more money.
But their thirst for more never gets quenched.
And you know, what does happen when people spend too much time at work? The balance in their life collapses.
They develop a light-year distance between them and their family. They miss the social gatherings, children’s school meetings, family outings, and even they miss the family dinner at home because they are always busy working.
Earning more doesn’t guarantee more security and happiness. But most people realize it the hard way — after losing everything other than money.
A happy life is always about balancing everything.
You must balance between work and family time. You must know when to say no to your work and yes to the relationships you have in life. You must spend time alone in prayer or some spiritual act. Now and then, you must talk to yourself. And, of course, you must restore your connection with nature.
I admit that money can enhance your way of living, it can help you handle any difficult situation smoothly. But remember, time is much more important than money. Once wasted, you cannot bring back the lost time.
That’s why it’s important to take a break from work and spend time with your kids. That’s why it’s crucial to spend a wonderful evening with your partner once a week. And that’s why it’s essential to travel and enjoy what nature has to offer.
Nobody is stopping you from earning more money, wealth, or fame. But for god’s sake, while doing so, do not lose what you already have in your possession.
Have an eventful and exciting life!
