Earn Between $1,000 To $5,000 In One Month
My neighbors are living proof
Money is everyone’s friend. Those who don’t have any, want some, those who have it want more. Quick rich schemes are just that, schemes that promise a lot and deliver nothing. Gaming apps that promise hundreds if not thousands of dollars, are equally fooling the public. Lottery tickets do pay out money but the chances of your hitting the jackpot are slim to none. So how do you get your hands on some money? Something for nothing doesn’t work, if you want money, safe to say you’re going to have to work for it.
In the neighborhood where I live, several people have started their own ‘business’ a few months ago and today they are making between $1,000 to $5,000 a month.
Cleaning
Many people balk at the idea of cleaning other people’s homes, but when Victoria couldn’t find work in her field of study and found herself strapped for cash, she started putting out a few feelers. Some people hate house chores, some are short on time to get everything cleaned, while others just need a bit of help. Within a month she had ten clients.
Ironing
Ironing is something that is either loved or hated. Yet, even those who say that they love ironing often complain of lower back pain, leg pain, or swollen feet from standing hours behind an ironing board. When Vanessa found herself between jobs, she wondered what she could do for an income. Since she loves ironing she advertised in the neighborhood and at the local supermarket that she would take on anyone’s ironing for $1 a piece. She doesn’t go to other people’s houses, they come to her and they come in droves.
Shopping
Paul lives in an apartment building and supplements his income shopping for other people. It started quite by accident. Whenever he went to the grocery store, he knocked on his elderly neighbor’s door to ask him if he needed anything. His neighbor, who recently had a hip replacement was only too happy that someone would provide him with the necessities. Word got around and Paul turned his shopping into a side business.
Pet sitting
Miranda loves animals and concentrated on something to do with cats and dogs to earn extra money. She advertised her services in the neighborhood but didn’t get any takers. She had no experience, she had no references, and people were hesitant in trusting their animals into her care. So she went a different route. She contacted a professional pet sitting company and was hired on the spot. Her responsibilities are simple, she is to provide cats or dogs with food and water, play with them, and clean their litter box(es). Depending on the demand she visits a pet owner’s home once or twice a day, or takes up residence in the home for a few days. The residents have peace of mind that their pet is well taken care of. Should Miranda, for one reason or another be unable to care for the pets in her care, another caretaker stands in for her.
Tutor
“My side business took off slowly,” Frank says, “but I’m gaining in popularity and now I’m earning enough to pay my mortgage.” What does he do? He joined three different English tutoring websites and all he needs to do is speak English to his callers. All that’s needed is a computer with a camera and a microphone and a fast internet connection. Then he had to set up a profile, complete a short English speaking test, and upload a photograph of himself. He was given the choice to teach English to beginners, competent, or advanced students, and that was that. Now he gets calls from all over the world, and earns while chatting about this, that, and the other to all kinds of people.
If teaching a language is not your thing, perhaps there is something else that you can teach others. Think computer programs, arts and crafts, a musical instrument, cooking, baking, or sports. Put on your thinking cap and you might just come up with something.
Photography
If you’re good with a camera you can put that talent to good use. You could cover weddings, bar mitzvahs, shoot baby pictures, or even pets. Other than that, there are several photography websites where you can upload your pictures and if they sell, you get paid.
Uber or Lyft
If you enjoy driving, you could apply to become an Uber or Lyft driver. You can make yourself available for an hour or two in the morning, afternoon, or evening, or concentrate on the weekends. How much you earn is up to you and you’ll meet all kinds of people in the process.
Sell
You know what they say, one person’s trash is another person’s treasure. If you’re in a hurry for a bit of money, consider selling some of your belongings. If you haven’t worn certain types of clothing or shoes in one or two years, chances are you won’t wear them again. Rather than having the items take up space in your wardrobe or throwing them in the trash, sell them.
Take a look around your living room, kitchen, or bedroom. Do you have items that you no longer like, use, or are outdated? Put them up for sale.
Get creative
Several people in my neighborhood earn a bit on the side with their creative talents. They make clothes, curtains, or drapes, take on alterations, knit scarfs, sweaters, or baby clothes.
If you have the necessary qualifications you could set yourself up as a bookkeeper or do people’s taxes.
Those with computer talents could build websites, create presentations, or design book covers. The self-publishing industry has grown to enormous proportions and those writers need appealing covers for their books.
Alternatively, you could proofread or edit manuscripts.
If you have a good, clear voice, apply to become an audiobook narrator.
