Born in Texas on 10/14/1890. After High School, graduated from West Point, and was commissioned as a second lieutenant.
He was commander of the Allied Forces in North Africa and Supreme Commander of the troops on the D-Day.

After the war, while commanding the new NATO forces, Republicans picked him to run for President in 1952, and won with the slogan “I Like Ike”
Before ending his first term, he suffered a heart attack and was reelected in 1956.
During his two terms, he added Alaska and Hawaii as states and signed 1957's Civil Rights Act.
Also started the “Atoms for peace” treaty with Russia, signed the truce that brought peace along South Korea’s border, and formed NASA.
Eisenhower died on 03/28/1969 in Washington, D.C.
Most specialists believe that Ike had dyslexia.
