Drenched

A rom-com moment

Today’s random word is wet.

Drabble is a work of fiction that is exactly 100 words. No more, no less.

Kate heard a knock on the door. When she opened it, she found Dylan, drenched from head to toe.

“Jesus, Dylan. You’re soaking wet. Did you run all the way here?” Kate asked, holding the door open.

“I was already out running when the rain poured out of nowhere.”

“Get your butt inside, you dork. You must be freezing.”

Dylan laughed. “I’m fine. I’ve got to head back soon.”

“Okay…” Kate said, perplexed. “What’s up then?”

“I didn’t think I could wait any longer. I wanted to say, I love you.”

Kate smiled and pulled Dylan in, closing the door.

Thanks for reading!
